Tour Overview

The best of both valleys in one trip. Start in Hunza with Baltit and Altit forts, Eagle's Nest, Attabad Lake and the Passu Cones, then travel to Skardu for Shangrila, Upper Kachura Lake and the high Deosai Plateau.

You will stay in hand-picked hotels in Karimabad and Skardu, enjoy daily breakfast, and travel with experienced local drivers along the Karakoram Highway and the Gilgit-Skardu road.

Tour Itinerary

Arrive in Gilgit and drive along the Karakoram Highway to Karimabad in Hunza. Check in and enjoy the evening with views of the surrounding peaks.

Visit the centuries-old Baltit and Altit forts and the old village lanes, then drive to Eagle's Nest viewpoint for sunset over Hunza.

Stop at the turquoise Attabad Lake for a boat ride, view the Passu Cones and cross the Hussaini suspension bridge. Return to Karimabad for the night.

After breakfast, drive via Gilgit to Skardu along the Indus river, a long scenic day on the Gilgit-Skardu road. Check in to your hotel in Skardu.

Visit the famous Shangrila Resort at Lower Kachura Lake, then continue to Upper Kachura Lake. Return to Skardu via Kharpocho Fort for sunset views.

Drive by 4x4 jeep to Deosai National Park at around 4,100 m for open meadows, Sheosar Lake and a chance to spot Himalayan marmots. Deosai is generally open from about June to September.

After breakfast, free time for souvenir shopping before your airport transfer.
