Tour Overview

A short, relaxed introduction to Baltistan. This tour covers Shangrila Resort at Lower Kachura Lake, Upper Kachura Lake, the historic Shigar Fort with the Bab-e-Shigar gateway, and the orchards and villages of Shigar Valley, with scenic drives along the Indus and Shigar rivers.

You will stay at Ringchan Guest House in Skardu, enjoy daily breakfast with local Balti flavours, and travel with experienced local drivers who know every road and viewpoint.

Tour Itinerary

Arrive at Skardu and check in at Ringchan Guest House. Rest and adjust to the altitude, then take an evening walk around Skardu bazaar and enjoy a first Balti dinner with views of the Indus river.

Visit the famous Shangrila Resort at Lower Kachura Lake, then continue to Upper Kachura Lake for a short walk and a boat ride. Return to Skardu via Kharpocho Fort for sunset views over the Indus valley.

Drive along the Shigar river to Shigar Valley. Pass through the Bab-e-Shigar gateway and visit the 400-year-old Shigar Fort (Fong-Khar), the old mosque and the village orchards, then return to Skardu in the evening.

After breakfast, visit Satpara Lake and the nearby village for photos, with free time for souvenir shopping (dry fruits, apricot oil, Balti handicrafts) before your airport transfer.
