Skardu Circuit Tour

Tour Overview

A relaxed circuit of the Skardu region with time to enjoy each place. The tour covers Shangrila and Kachura lakes, the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, a full day on the Deosai Plateau, the historic Shigar Fort and the scenic Basho Valley.

You will stay at Ringchan Guest House in Skardu with all meals included, and travel with experienced local drivers, using a 4x4 jeep for Deosai and Sarfaranga.

Tour Itinerary

Arrive at Skardu and check in at Ringchan Guest House. Rest and adjust to the altitude, then enjoy a first Balti dinner.

Visit Shangrila Resort at Lower Kachura Lake, then Upper Kachura Lake for a short walk and boat ride. Return to Skardu via Kharpocho Fort for sunset views.

Drive by 4x4 jeep to Deosai National Park at around 4,100 m. Enjoy open meadows, Sheosar Lake and a chance to spot Himalayan marmots. Deosai is generally open from about June to September.

Spend the morning at the Sarfaranga (Katpana) Cold Desert for sand dunes with snowy mountain backdrops. In the afternoon visit Satpara Lake before returning to Skardu.

Visit the 400-year-old Shigar Fort and the Bab-e-Shigar gateway, then continue to Basho Valley for pine forests, streams and mountain views.

After breakfast, free time for souvenir shopping (dry fruits, apricot oil, Balti handicrafts) before your airport transfer.
